It was all pomp and glamor at St. John's Cathedral in Fort Portal as the Toro Princess Ruth Komuntale said " I DO" to her long time American fiancée
Christopher Thomas in a colorful cremony presided over by the outgoing Archbishop of the Church of Uganda His grace Rt Rev. Henry Luke Orombi.
At 11:12am East African time, Princess Komuntale made her way to the grounds of the church driven in a state of the art C-Class Mercedes Benz donated by car dealer Gordon Wavamunho, and was led down the aisle by her young brother and King of Toro Kingdom, His majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru and handed her to Christopher.
At 11:27am, the couple were called to the altar to make their vows after which, they declared Husband and Wife.
In his summon, His grace Orombi called upon the couple to impress and follow the bible teachings, live together in a happy family. He advised them to compliment and understand each other as it is the best way to have a blessed family.
Orombi called upon the couple to be fruitful and expand their small family. He reminded Thomas the he is the head of the family and his role can only be felt by his wife if he gives her enough time.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Uganda's Vice president, H.E Kiwanuka Edward Ssekandi, Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, Prime Minister Hon Amama Mbabazi, Ministers, Ministers of state, MPs, Cultural and Institutional heads led by Buganda's Queen Nabagereka Sylivia Naginda and dignitories from all around the world, notably Ghana, Italy, Swaziland, Congo, South Africa, Cameroon, Brazil, Benin and many others.
King Oyo invited all the present guests to join Him at his palace for the sister's reception.
